The Franklin County Recreation Department was started from scratch in 1995, when the Recreation Commission hired the departments first director. April 2005 marks FCRDs 10th year of providing public recreation for the citizens of Franklin County and the surrounding area. FCRD offers 40+ programs and special events. In addition, FCRD has more than 4,000 participants annually. We want to continue the success of providing public recreation services, we hope you enjoy navigating our site.

Mission Statement:
